Bobson Wong

Bobson has taught high school math in New York City public schools since 2005. He is a four-time recipient of the Math for America (MfA) Master Teacher Fellowship, a New York State Master Teacher, and the 2022 winner of the MfA Muller Award for Professional Influence in Education. In 2022-23, Bobson was chair of the Nominations & Elections Committee of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Larisa Bukalov

Larisa has been teaching high school math in New York City public schools since 1998. She has won the MfA Master Teacher Fellowship five times as well as other teaching awards, including the 2023 MfA Muller Award. As the Mathematical Association of America’s liaison to Ukraine, she manages and prepares Ukrainian students to take the American Mathematical Competition (AMC). Bobson and Larisa have written two books: The Math Teacher’s Toolbox: Hundreds of Practical Strategies to Support Your Students (Jossey-Bass, 2020) and Practical Algebra: A Self-Teaching Guide (Wiley, 2022). They have written many articles for such publications as Edutopia and EdWeek, and they have presented at numerous conferences, including the NCTM Annual Meeting.
